Call them up, oh Sir, that is for a home equity line of credit! if you would read down a line. The list was generated from a list of people turned down for credit or who have had a previous credit account with us. I find this tactic very upsetting. Like most of us on this board, I keep pretty close tabs on my CR's. So when I call back, what should I ask for? when credit was applied for, where I can get my free credit report for being turned down for credit?
