Re: MBNA Elite Rewards Platinum Vis Ron, thanks again. Thats all good news I'm OK on the income, especially this year. I have no negatives on TU and 2 lates on EX that are both over 2 years old. I call them next week and report in
Re: MBNA Elite Rewards Platinum Vis Pat, I think it is OK and I think they will approve your application. Their customer service is 800-421-2110 or 800-789-6685. Let me Know. Ron.
Re: MBNA Elite Rewards Platinum Vis OK, I know I said I would call next week, but I couldn't wait. This is my first real prime card I've applied for since starting my repair journey. So I called and ........APPROVED!!! Yipeee No information on limit yet. He said I'd hear something in about 2 weeks.
Re: MBNA Elite Rewards Platinum Vis Congrats on the approval! MBNA gave me my first platinum card a few years ago. They usually give high limits (7500 or more).
Re: MBNA Elite Rewards Platinum Vis Pat, Congradulations!!!!. Two years ago, they approved me for Garfield Platinum MC for $8100. Ron.
Re: MBNA Elite Rewards Platinum Vis Thanks Steve, I'm pretty psyched about it. I hope its a fairly high limit card, they let me use household income, so that helps. I thought I'd use it for big dollar purchases that I normally would pay cash for to ching up the extra rewards. I forgot to add that they pulled EX, my CE score was 749 at the pull, and dropped 4 after the hard inquiry. [edit] Thanks much Ron, Marci and creditnet I wouldn't have known about the card let alone who they would pull, etc. without all the help.
Re: MBNA Elite Rewards Platinum Vis For those who don't really want to "INCUR" extra debt...there is NO law that says you can't pay on your account before you charge!!! Example buying that BIG SCREEN TV...$3,000...pay on-line or mail your payment a week before you charge the $3,000...you have a BIG SCREEN TV, but incured NO extra debt...
Re: MBNA Elite Rewards Platinum Vis I guess its official that I got it. I had an alert today on CE. MBNA posted the "new account" tradeline, but no card yet. It was nice to see that they posted it as "pays as agreed" instead of "to new to rate". It cost me 15 points on CE, down to 730. The limit is $7500. Then I got home, and there it was in the mailbox.
