Before I found this board I sent an E-mail to my Attorney Generals office about my issues with MBNA (Bank America) and Hilco Receivable reporting long outdated information on my credit report. It's the only negative info on my Credit Report and it's really hurting my credit score. At the advice of this board I just sent each of the big 3 letters (CRRR) disputing the information reported from both Hilco and MBNA as being long past the legal reporting date (my date of first delinquency was 1997 and it's STILL on my report! Hilco reports activity as recently as this past February! I haven't sent a payment in over 10 years to anyone!) well today I receive a message on my phone from a nice lady from our Attorney Generals Office stating that I should call her at my earliest convenience as she would like to talk to me about my situation! She left me some good advice about the FCRA (I already learned what she told me from researching this board but it was still nice of her to pass on this information). I'm going to call tomorrow and talk to them. It will be interesting to see what they have to say!

I probably don't need to advise this, but have all your documents prepared when you speak to her. I'm sue the AG can clear this up!

    Let us know the outcome..
