You can try to do it over the phone. It's a two step process, the first cs will take your info and than pass it on to a credit cs rep. My app was approved within 15 mins of calling. Two CRs were pulled. The credit cs rep. did ask a lot of questions about my report. Posters here are saying that it is still not a instant approval. I put an app in online Jan 16, they're -still- mulling it over. Called Thursday, told me no decision yet. (can't be good) I'm not holding my breath after so long, but know they can take a long time to decide.
MBNA is only instant decision if your responding to a preapproved offer. Applying for a card and the time it takes is almost 30-days. In fact, MBNA mulled over my app for 31 days and the credit analyst asked alot of questions. Eventually got approved, but they took their time.
