I HAVE HAD IT WITH MBNA!!!

They have been in the SOCK DRAWER...and they are ignoring my PFB---TWICE!!!

I just paid some "MBNA NET ACCESS"
    Some BT from DISCOVER
    Some BT from CITIBANK

IT IS PAID IN FULL WHEN THE BT'S POST...(most likely before 09/27/03)

I will let them get a CLUE...

    I DREW THEM A PICTURE...AND THEY DIDN'T GET IT!!!

7 YEARS...NO LIMIT INCREASE...I SENT THE INFORMATION THEY WANTED (INCOME...JOB...ETC)

I told them I'm NOT expecting like $20,000 more...but "IF" you won't even give me $400 to "ROUND IT OFF"...I don't need to use your card and you will be paid off before you GET AROUND TO MAKING ME FEEL LIKE A WANTED CUSTOMER!!!

George: At least they didn´t close your account like with me (Too much available credit with others issuers they said....). You are still lucky!.

Telephone marketers from MBNA call me every time I pay off large amount. I assume they have some way of tracking electronic deposits. Once large incoming payment is made, they track it and call to find out if it is a balance transfer and if so what interest rate deal I got from the other bank. Usually they are pretty flexible with interest but recenly they insist on charging +/-$50.00 bt fee.

JUst got an idea. Instead using MBNA net access, transfer cash to a cc account that does not charge bt fee and then bt it to MBNA.

I bet ya they will call.

THEY ARE GOING TO GET 3 VERY LARGE EFT'S IN THE NEXT 72 HOURS OR SO...

IT WILL BE PAID IN FULL AND THEN SOME...(actually OVER-PAID $15,700) I HAD NO IDEA AMEX WOULD ACTUALLY APPROVE A 3rd CARD FOR ME!!!
Impossible to STOP the AMEX BT OR THE OTHER TWO EITHER!!!

You would think that overpaying by that much and then canceling would give them a clue, but I bet it doesn't. MBNA is one of my top "never do business with" banks. In fact, when my bank sold its portfolio to MBNA, I paid it off and canceled it as soon as I could.

Sounds like there's nothing else you could do.

I read an article on MBNA in the Washington Post Magazine (comes with the Sunday paper). Actually, it was about Wilmington, DE and the credit industry, but emphasis on MBNA. I wish I had kept it.

The article was pretty derogatory toward MBNA specifically and the credit industry in general, implying that they only want to see how much money they can get. Sounded just like a lot of what you hear on this board.

    there's always the mbna BDD

worked for me. my purty quantum card has the best international rates (1% visa fee , 0% mbna fee) for my honeymoon.

everyone else wanted like 2-3% tack-on's.

    Gotta love quantum!

    Hedwig,

I actually read that article through a link on this board. It was very good, very informative, and helped me understand the social atmosphere that allows those people to do the things they do to us.

(That's the key. They think it's them vs. us. That's a typical cult mentality. MBNA and some other banks, especially Providian, resemble cults in many respects.)

The link was posted on this board, but I doubt if it's current any more.
