I realized later I hadn't finished answering Mark's question. What doesn't show yet is the two recent Visa accounts with Umbrella bank, 1 @ $2K CL and 1 @ $5K CL and no balances. I may go ahead and drop that $2K Classic to reduce the number rof new accounts by one, or see if I can compbine it. That would be better, but it seems like they haven't figured out the mechanics of combining yet, according to DaveLV's recent posts. Also, BTW, re current tradelines; The Citi Platinum is one year old. The Penney's card is is twelve. The Target is three months old. The car loan is 20 months old or so. The rest are closed, paid old accounts. They didn't give me any grief about the ages of my tradelines.
They called ne at work and asked me why I had applied for both cards. I just said that I figured if I did not qualify for one, that maybe I would qualify for the other, and that they would probably sort that out. She asked which I wanted, and I said the one with the best terms. She said WorldCard was better, and that she would rescind my application for the other. -Cliff
