Yes, it is for the Quantum card, not a LOC.

Sorry to be repetetive, does that mean that on a LOC there is NO FEE for writing a check?

    Nestea,

MBNA always charge 3% checks fee for all credit cards and LOC.

    Platinum,

I don't take cash advance from ATM and I believe they also charge 3% transaction charge.

    Platinum,

Quantum (not Platinum Plus) definitely does not charge a transaction fee with cash advances from an ATM. I've used it several times before.

You MAY still have to pay an ATM FEE from the bank that owns the ATM...($1.50 or more)
They MUST notify you before they charge you!!!
You MUST have a chance to OPT OUT OF THE TRANSACTION (CANCEL)

So the only way to get free money, without a quantum, as a BT? or is there a transaction fee then too??

$50.00 WAS $30.00 (6 MONTHS OR A YEAR AGO)...on the UP-SIDE...they will BT to your checking account for the same $50.00 and you can use ON-LINE payments for your bills or write as many checks as you want!!!

George is 100 % correct... If you use the ATM or use your Credit Card in a Bank to take a Cash Advance, there is a fee of 3% of the amount that you take.. Another thing to consider, taking cash this way most of the time you pay a higher interest rate.. If you need cash.. have it deposited into you checking acct.. you get the B.T. rate plus there is a cap on the balance transfer fee..$50.00

The fee for cash advance checks and BT is 3%..$5.00 Minimum or $50.00 Maximum..If it is an instant Decision and you do Multiple BT's You will only be charged one fee for all of the Transfers..Just ask you Credit Card Company if the do ACH deposits into Checking accts.. This would be treated the same as a Cash advance..

    Take Care

    rubyjean,

We are talking here about Quantum. My interest rate for the purchases and cash advances on my MBNA (Quantum and Platinum Plus) accounts is the same. I am surprised you don't know that since you are working for MBNA.

    PLATINUM,
I do know that The interest rate is the same for Purchased and Cash Advances.. I should have worded it a different way.. Balance transfers and Ach Deposits are treated as cash , but with a lower interest rate , usually the promo.. This would be under Cat A in your summary.. this should have the corresponding APR listed.. If you use the ATM or Over the Counter Cash advance , this interest rate would be subject to the 3% fee, and also have not cap for the fee. This would be at the same interest rate as purchases and would be in Cat B in your summary on your Statement.. Purchases would be in Cat C... Sorry if I was not clear the first time..

It is all clear now...we all know that regular interest rate is usually higher than promotional interest rate. Except for George. His promo is higher than regular with Crapital One... :)
    Thanks rubyjean

I am interested in applying for the MBNA Card.
My FICO score is 677 with Equifax and my annual income is approx 80k. Is this within the range for qualifying for this card? Also, who does MBNA contact for credit history?

    johnl,

you better check your Experian and TransUnion report. MBNA does not use Equifax.
