Just approved with 10K initial CL and 12.9% APR,3.9% BT,free reward program.
Does anyone have more info about product and please share experience...I already told rep APR seems to be too high and she said later on I may request lower APR but for start that's it...

Used to have this card. Customer service was great. Lots of automatic CL increases. I wanted a more flexible rewards program so I switched over to the Amtrak Guest Rewards card.

I had Quantum at the usual 12.99%. I didn't use it that much so they didn't lower the rate.

That's right, but the Amtrak points expire after three years if you don't book a trip. I'll probably use this card for big ticket items and then transfer the points over to Continental or United.

Just got off the phone.I said I am not going to use it with 12.99% APR.I said it's my highest APR credit card.
    Result:
lowered to 9.99% APR fixed effective immediately!!!

Was that a regular Customer Service rep, or did they first transfer you to someone else (such as a Retention agent)?

George, here's what I just did today to lower my rate on my Platinum Plus. I called them and told them my Chase Platinum card has a 9.99% fixed apr, and the MNBA card has the "blah blah" apr. I also mentioned I prefer MBNA over Chase becasue the cardholder services are superior to Chase's (kiss their ass), but the apr is simply too high. Just play them. I got transferred to the account rep by calling and mentioning I was thinking of closing out my account due to the high apr. Good luck!

    Saar,
First I talked to regular CSR and she tryed to tell me that I have to call after my promotional BT rate expired.I said I have nothing to transfer and I don't care about promotional rates.I am requesting lowest rate for the purchases immediately. Then I got transfer to another department.I don't know which one.Great customer service. But you have to tell them that you know about their lowest APR and you will get it.

    Yep, that would be Retention.
