MBNA to Issue American Express Card

    I had an MBNA that was listed under my CH7, does that mean they will close my AX card when they take over?

    MBNA will issue "SOME" AMEX cards...MBNA WILL NOT TAKE OVER AMEX!!!

    The card will be ISSUED by MBNA and will be accepted any place AMEX is accepted...you will be billed by MBNA...you can NOT transfer any credit limits between AMEX and MBNA

    You can NOT call AMEX with any QUESTIONS...

    Agreed.

    MBNA is NOT taking over AMEX. All MBNA will do is issue a AMEX co-branded card (MBNA card with AMEX logo on it). MBNA and AMEX remain mutually exclusive of each other.

    If you BK'ed on MBNA, it has no bearing whatsoever on your AMEX account.

    Now, will MBNA be able to offer the same level of customer care that AMEX does??????? That is another question that will be answered soon enough.
