    I am helping a friend.

    Has anyone had any success with getting late payments deleted on their MBNA account?

    If so, how?

    Unfortunately, few have had success with MBNA. According to their customer service rep and 2 1st VPs they only remove if it is their fault (e.g., wrong mailing address; payment lost in the mail, etc.). After numerous phone calls, I was able only to get them to lower my interest rate from 24.99 to 14.99....Try sending them a letter via PFB or escalating your concern through customer service.

    If the Late payments are legitimate, they will not be removed.. They will be removed for following reasons
    Never received statement due to address not correct, Misposted payments, MBNA or Bank encoding errors,
    In extreme instances, it there is just one late payment and if your payment history with MBNA has been good, if it is affecting your ability to get a Mortgage, they will sometimes do a Customer Service Reage to remove the 30 day from your Credit report..
