I was curious about the program. Creditworks: do you provide any kind assurance the funds will be returned other than your word?

No, the only thing we will do is allow the lender to call the loan in, if we are ever late with a payment 5 days or more.
In that case you will get to keep the interest up to the time you call the loan in. You will receive you full loan amount. The loans are front loaded, kind of like a mortgage, where you are getting most of the interest upfront.

    Another question here:

I see that creditsense.com is registered with the local better business bureau. This makes me happy.

Exactly WHY do they pay money out at 19.47%? If you're REALLY this good at consistently turning a profit, why wouldn't a standard commercial lender offer you this money at a much lower interest rate.

I am made unhappy by this whole deal in that something is being offerred which appears too good to be true.
How in the world can someone make money when they're borrowing money at 19.47% to make an investment?
At best, wouldn't you make say.. 25%?
Why not borrow the money at a lower rate, and make a 25% profit while paying out say... 12% or 15%... then you could pocket 13% instead of 7%
It is what I would do.

Here's an investment guaranteed to turn in a 30% APR for creditsense:

Then, you should do it. We have been at it since May 1996, we are happy the way things are.
BTW, we are not registered with the BBB.

I really do not mean to beat up on creditsense but your posts aroused my curiosity. If your loans are not secured, how are they any different than handing money out to strangers on a street who would just as vigorously promise to repay?

My record speaks for itself. Beat up all you want, you are entitled, but in the meantime we have been making payments since May 1996. If you had been here back then, you would not consider me a stranger from the street.
Time is our ally. The longer we keep doing it, the more and better credit we get.

You may not be registered with the BBB, but you are in their database.
By the way, are you a member of the Lahrondo family? The only two people who ever turn up in searches about this company are Tamahra Lahrondo and this gentleman with the same name.

Here's your file with the BBB, which I will note has no complaints listed:

A question for you, Credit Works.
Why is the program not available in PA?

    Quote from your web site:
"The Company does not issue or sells any securities, certificates of deposit or commercial paper insured by the FDIC or any government or private entity. This announcement is neither an offer to sell nor a solicitation of an offer to participate in the CreditWorks program. This program is not available in Pennsylvania."

I am a member of the Larrondo family. Tamara is my sister and Judy is my wife, if you run a D&B on CreditWorks, LLC you will see those as the principal names of the company. I am surprised we are listed with the BBB, they asked for a $300 membership way back when we started and I made the decision to not become a member. We were issued a cease and desist order in the state of PA a few years back and made a decision not to fight it. PA claimed we solicited business in their state, when in fact the person requested information from us, it turned out to be a state employee looking for a reason to stop us from doing business in PA, he also had us investigated in New Jersey, but that we did fight and here we are.

Basically there are a couple of people on this board that have joined the program. One is no longer posting, he joined a couple of times for $4000 and $5000, the other person is still a member for a small amount. I will not give out their names without their permission. The bulk of the 90+ loans have been made by the principals, the family, friends and a couple of small businesses.

If you cannot provide a list of your satisfied clients, maybe you have an audited financial statement as proof of timely interets payments and list of stock market transactions as proof of income?

I've purchased a $250 CreditWorks membership just to try it out.

I'll admit I'm unsure how the business model works, but it does. I'm a satisfied customer.

Of course, a 19.47% APY investment is not risk-free. If you're looking for a risk-free investment, buy U.S. EE-series savings bonds, offering ~4% APY. They're much better than the lousy 1.5%-2.5% APY earned on bank CD's, and they also get you points/mileage if you use your CC.

Audited, let see, how did that work for Enron, WorldCon and countless others. No, we do not have an independent auditor, we don't even have an accountant. We did the first 2 years of operation, but we are satisfied with what TurboTax offers and what Quicken offers.
Tell me specifics of what you want to see and we will try to provide for you review. If you really want to check on our creditworthiness, do a D&B on CreditWorks, LLC.

    Thanks, Saar.
