I just recently applied for a card from them online, I quickly got the message I should hear within 30 days, although it never mentioned instant approval that always seems to be a bad sign. I called the number and was told they had no information yet and please alow 30 days for processing.

Has anybody been through this and got the card, or am I destined for denial???

I got this message and was contacted the next day by an analyst. She asked some general questions and then told me that I was approved. Interesting thing is that she said that I was approved for $5500 but the card actually came with a $8100 limit.

    Good luck.

Last March all I could get approved for were aria and cap1. I even have a charge-off from 1998 (paid) on my TU -- my worst report.

I don't think MBNA had any instantly approval of their credit card and you have to wait up to 30 days to know whether they approved it or not.
