I just read the Q2 earning report for MBNA and some facts are very interesting in that report "The Corp added 3.0 million new customers. The typical new customer has a $70,000 annual household income, has been employed for 11 yrs, owns a home, and has a 17-year history of paying bills promptly".
My sister applied for the same card that I did (Barnes and Noble), she was orginally declined. Her credit is not the best. I got the number to the department that actually makes the decisions, I guess. They told me it was to the credit department. I had her call to see if she could talk them into giving her a chance. She spoke to a nice manager, who overrode the denial and gave her the card with a 4,000 limit. Just an FYI.
Did you MBNA is taking over First Union Bank credit card Accounts in June of this year? Wonder if that would mean my chances of getting increases would be slimmer?
