I ran my credit report today and saw something that confused me: Account Name: MEDCLR HOSPITAL PORTFOLI Acct Type: Unknown - Credit Extension, Review, Or Collection Acct Status: Closed Monthly Payment: Date Open: 11/1/2006 Balance: $100.00 Terms: 1 Month High Balance: Limit: Past Due: $100.00 Payment Status: Seriously past due date / assigned to attorney, collection agency, or credit grantor's internal collection department It says it opened in November 2006, then there was no data on every month from then till now except for "Key Derogatory" in June 2007 and September 2008. 1) I don't know who this is, seems to be medical collection? 2) I have not lived in the USA since 2003 when I moved to England - I paid off all my credit cards in March 2004 and have not used any USA credit since. No inquiries, no nothing. I assumed all was fine. 3) I was never notified of this. Probably because like I say I am living in England and the post office stopped forwarding my mail years ago. Is this a collection agency that re-aged an account so now it will be on my report until 2013 since they claim its from 2006 when I had already been living in the UK for years?!?! Any suggestions?
