    Re: Sherman Acquisitions vs. Crowmom.

    Dear Crowmom,

If you can quickly contact me, I may have some good news for you concerning this issue. Our firm is not associated with those who filed this suit against you.

You will soon be served (if not already) with a court summons and timing is very important. If you have been served court papers, let us know the date you received those papers when you call.

In either case, contact us as soon as possible at 314-821-1133. Your call will be confidential. Or, leave a message with the best time to call you back.

    sincerely,

    they appear to be legitimate.

is mediation a good idea in my case? they say I owe @ 2500 on a 1300 Credit limit sears card that was just charged off about a year ago.

basically, my situation is that sherman has my sears chargeoff, and they had an attorney dun me. I sent the attorney a dispute within 30 days. the attorney sent 2 more collection letters, and then nothing for the last 6 months. I've never received anything from Sherman, and I never sent Sherman anything directly because I was under the impression that I should go thru the attorney. Now I wish I HAD sent a dispute directly to sherman in that 30 days. (didnt know any better back then.)

I have not been served anything yet.

Is it even worth it to send Sherman a validation request at this point? Or should I take the postition that I DID send them validation via their attorneys and start outlining the violations they are both responsible for?

I was considering mediation if the fees aren't too high and Sherman is willing to settle for $500 or less + deletion.

    what do ya think?
