My friend needs your help again. I have signed her up here, look for her soon, and set her up with a semi budget. Working on the final product in a few days.

Our question is this, when going through her outstanding bills, we found a medical bill addressed to her 8-year-old daughter. This bill is for services rendered on the 8-year-old. Nowhere on the bill is my friends name, just the child. Is this a loophole where she doesn't have to pay?

    Please help us!

I'm sure she signed something authorizing the doctor to provide medical care for the child and, accepting responsibility for the bill.

Have her write a letter in CRAYON that she makes $1.00/week for ALLOWANCE...so it will be a while if she sends like a QUARTER (25 CENTS) every month...

If the bill is made out to the 8 year old daughter, then that is who collections will eventually try to collect against, and when they are unsuccessful, they will try to report against the 8 year olds credit report. I know from personal experience.

Had that happen to me! I ignored them and they stopped trying to collect. My child was 9. So 7 years later she woul only be 16 when it would fall of her bureau! Well, she is 17 next month and guess what? She just received an offer for a pre-approved platinum card from Cap 1 for a $10000 LOC!!!!

    LOL
