I have a $100 medical collection on my account. It appears they never billed my secondary insurance (I don't have the secondary insurance anymore because my divorce was finalized and that coverage went away).

I just want to pay this and have this CA go away and off my CR. Do I do a pay-for-delete to the CA or the OC? The treatment was in July 2004. Has the statute ran out? I'm in Virginia and was at the time of the medical services.

Anything special I should do on this one since it is a medical account?

Thanks everyone for the advice. This credit report stuff is like a whole other language!

If the services were rendered, and the secondary insurance was supposed/required to cover it, they are still liable even if you are divorced. Make them pay it.

That is, unless the statute of limitations has expired.

If the statute of limitations has expired for them, it has likely expired for you.

I would try disputing it off the report.
