I'll be meeting with a lawyer during the second week of June to discuss my situations. Here is the link to my main problem with Experian:

    Experian's VERIFICATION (ha!)

First of all, I'm very grateful to all the CNetters who haved helped me begin to understand how credit works and how to correct past mistakes. I've decided to see a lawyer to kind of steer me in the right direction. From what i gather, it looks like I may have some violations against Experian. However, I feel I should speak with a lawyer to make sure I have a valid case and to make sure I attack Experian correctly.

If anyone feels they can offer me any advice that might be helpful before I speak with the lawyer, please respond.

    thanks in advance!

Let us know what he says.
Most of them don't know much about consumer law.

i agree with LB - most lawyers don't know about this stuff or understand the FCRA and FDCPA. i think you would have just as good of chance representing yourself instead of a lawyer. you may want one on sidebar to help you process paperwork, but as far as in court, your better off on your own.
