Doc, Now that you mention it, Matthew could have been the culprit behind the Equifax glitch! After all, he used to be a tax collector! Rina --Conquering through Christ...and Creditnet
Definitely LizardKing for Member of the Year. He also had a pretty funny post regarding "Bill Collector calls Lizard King" or something like that, where he got some hapless collector flustered. Happy New Year, Torpedo
In light of the idiocy that I, Doc, and who knows who else have gotten dragged into, I nominate Bkev for the Jason/ Friday the 13th Award. Man, he just won't let it die. For those of you who a) don't know what the bejeesus I'm talking about, and b) are gluttons for punishment, see: http://consumers.creditnet.com/straighttalk/board/showthread.php?s=&pgnum=1&postid=120261#post120261
Oh my GOD (sorry God)! I did not join this board until July I believe. To Latwanna..."you is crazy". That was the funniest damn thing I have read or heard in the last two weeks of my life. The FTC...I am in tears from laughing all hard. I feel so sorry for my laptop right now, cause it's about to be wet from my laughing tears! P.S. My vote goes to breeze. Thank you for always responding to my little credit cries and crisis when no one else bothers too. Stupidest/Dumbest notion: Vote goes to home girl with the dead dog...God I am still cracking up. Let me just say it Rollin' on the floor, laughing my ass off, peeing in my pants....NUTS!!
I agree with Psych Doc's four original choices and my choice is...uh, oh...um...darn, I can't make up my mind so I'll just vote for them all! By the way...who shot Toby?
Since you have your head so far up Bill's ass, it is hard to tell where he stops and you start. It appears that YOU won't let IT die. BKev has helped a lot of people here. Bill is the ultimate hypocrite. He runs his mouth about creditors and CRAs breaking the law, when he is doing the same thing. He boasts about making hundreds of thousands of dollars and not paying any taxes on it. Where in the hell would we be if everyone evaded paying taxes? Of course it is like convincing a dope addict that his dealer is a criminal, so I might as well stop here AND LET IT REST. I wonder if Bill will come back in a couple of days and start more trouble when his detention is up..LOL. It is nice how Bill's family sticks up for him though, right or wrong, truth or lie. Say hi to Bill for me when you see him. Haha. Merry Christmas
Um, wrong thread, Mike? Quixote posted that in a thread whose title began "The great sniveling"; this particular thread's purpose is to honor those who have been of great help to other Creditnet members during 2001. Feel free to post your nominations! We'll consider your post to be a well-deserved nomination for Bkev (or whoever else you'd like to add, of course). Happy Hannukkah everyone. (Sorry, had to do it even if I'm the only Hannukkah greeting on Creditnet, lol.) Doc
Um, I see the THREAD THAT I QUOTED three posts above my reply IN THIS THREAD, therefore I replied IN THIS THREAD. Maybe you need glasses? And I am not nominating BKev or anyone else. I just don't like it when the same people that were saying drop the Bill nonsense are the same ones STILL BRINGING IT UP. Get a life.
MikeB, Yep, it’s all part of my diabolical plan. I posted this and this just to see how many people I could fool. Puuhleeze. I’ll be the first to admit that I have said very little negative about Bill Bauer. But, if you look back at my posts, you will find that I have had very little negative to say about anyone around here. Maybe I’ve slipped once in a while, who knows. But overall, it’s not in my nature to go on the attack. I have on more than one occasion suggested to Bill that he ought to consider being a little more grown up about things, instead of repeatedly letting himself be baited by someone who is clearly spoiling for a fight. I think I even told Bill and Bkev both to “shut the hell up” once, because I was tired of their raving, at which point, they both, in very dignified, adult gestures, pointed at the other and said, “He did it!” Mike, I have no agenda here but my own credit improvement, and that of my wife’s. If I can share a few laughs along the way, so much the better. I don’t mind that we have differing opinions about a lot of things, Bill Bauer included. I would mind if you started posting anonymously elsewhere in such a way that implied that was saying something I haven’t. I’m sure you would mind if I did the reverse to you. Neither of us are going to do that, so there’s no worries between us. When I first showed up here, I found out very quickly that my problem set is quite different than most of the members. My collections and charge offs are all paid in full. That’s better and worse. Nearly all of the advice I got was along the lines of “Gee that’s too bad.” Nothing we can do for you here. Just keep disputing.” I did some disputing, or more accurately, verifying (because I wasn’t comfortable lying about whether or not an account was mine), and had quite a bit of success. But a bunch of them stuck. No one had any real strong suggestions. I contacted a credit repair organization and their approach seemed to be just more disputes, mostly lying about “not my account”, etc. Not for me. I contacted Bill, and was very open about it. He said those paid off negatives are very hard, and he’s only had limited success against them, but if I wanted to try, he’d try with me. That was the best offer I’d gotten, so I took it. I’ve had some successes in conjunction with Bill. Not overwhelming, but successes nonetheless. I’m giving it one more month to complete the process and then I’ll be in a better position to evaluate the success of the effort. As for the name calling; I regret that I momentarily dropped my standards. I’ll try not to let it happen again. I hereby withdraw my nomination of Bkev for anything. I hope you have a great Christmas Mike. I really do. And a wonderful New Year. Tom
I think I have a life, lol! This Christmas I'm grateful for our son and daughter. I'm also grateful that we've got our health and that we're debt-free (finally) except for the mortgage. Finally, I'm grateful for our friends (including those here on Creditnet of course!). MikeB, I'm assuming you have a life too, so I hope you'll accept my very best wishes for a Merry Christmas (or Happy Hannukkah, Peaceful Kwanzaa, or whatever you may celebrate) and for a very, very happy and successful 2002. Randy (a.k.a. PsychDoc)
That must be why you accused me of the same. It takes one to know one, ay? Have a great holiday, Randy! Saar
There's hope gentlemen! When you're baby girl hits about three (actual mileage may vary), she will become inseperable from you, and your wife will be the jealous one. With a ten year old daughter, I'm still enjoying it, though the pendulum is starting to swing the other direction, as life is beginning to take her in directions that her mother is better qualified to help her through.. Enjoy it while you can. Every minute of it. Happy Holidays! Tom
PsychDoc, There're so many Credit Connoisseurs at Creditnet.com I so confused due to who to nominate for the members of the year....So, at the time being, I'll vote Breeze for nomination if you will please consider the time she put herself into helping so many newbies at creditnet and as well as other active boards.
