We are an internet based p2p betting company based in Ireland but operating in the UK and Ireland. We are not a bookmaker, just a facilitator for players who wish to bet with one another. We have just launched our site but are having difficulty acquiring merchant status from Irish banks, as the internet is quite new to them and they are extremely cautious. Can anyone tell me is there a way around this. We are currently using a third party service provider, but the costs are rather high in relation to the usual costs associated with accepting payment by credit card. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks
