I am in the process of calling two collection agencies who I have been making payments to, to try and settle my accounts in full? What should I keep in mind when doing this? I mean I want to do it right and not be "screwed up in the process". any information, advise, etc. will be greatly appreciated. thanks, Maria
Hi Maria, Need a little more detail. If you've been making pmts. there's no reason for them to suspect you will stop. So what incentive is there for them to "settle"? : ) About how much you talkin?
NCO Financial Systems is handling the account for Citi. my balance according to last statement is 19,000. (interest rate 16.00) _______________________________________________ LTD Financial Services is handling MBNA, my balance according to last statement is 12,000. I have been making monthly payments of 200 to each one of them. (interest rate 7.75) _______________________________________________ I want to settle the accounts in full and I want to make sure that I do things right. They are my accounts and I do not wish to dispute them or anything like that. I have been making payments but it's taking forever to pay them off. any and all information you can provide me will be greatly appreciation. thanks,
I forgot to tell you that every 6 months they contact me to see if I'm in a position to settle the accounts. if I can not, then they continue to put me on the payment arrangement. of course I have not been able to until now. they should be calling me soon (May). thanks, Maria
Butch: Do you mean my personal e-mail at yahoo? if so, please send me any information there then. thanks
Click above on ACCOUNT, then click on PREFS, then click the box to allow other members to send you e-mail. They won't see your address but can send you e-mail to whatever address you have registered with Creditnet. Then you can choose to reply if you want. If you reply, the person will then know your address.
