LOL Doc, nice website! I just got an email from John. It looks like he's hit hard times. His email follows: ------- Sorry, I haven't received anything until now. Long story short, I lost my job and, with that, the hosting servers for millcbs.com. I've moved some of my web sites to a commercial web host, but I can't afford to move all of them. MillCBS was done for the benefit of everybody else. However, with the job loss, I have to do what's best for the benefit of my family. Unless ... if you want to post around and see if folks would be willing to donate a few $$ towards hosting. The current outfit I'm with now costs me (their least expensive account with MS SQL database on the back end) $129 for the entire year, plus a one time setup fee of $19.95. I have no problems posting the donation (amount/person/etc.) on the site if it comes to that. I appreciate your concern. But unless someone can help out a little bit on the cost side, millcbs won't be back. js
Would it be possible to set up a Paypal account for millcbs? If everyone here donated just a dollar that should be PLENTY to get it back online!
Frankly, the boys at CREDITNET.com should buy his database. Enough of the people here frequent the site that I would think it would be of some value to CREDITNET.com, and just another feature to add to this site separating it from the rest. Buckets
if someone can have him contact me - i might be able to provide him with advertising - or i could take over the updating of the site and host it i dont wanna see such a good resource go to waste! allen074@yahoo.com
One thing that was great about the site is you could look up the scores that were approved or denied. I will miss that. That was most helpful...especially in combo with who pulled which cr.
I dont believe it would hurt me to donate a few bucks to get Millcbs back up and running. Any chance any of you "computer geeks" (said with affection) could help John revamp millcbs to include more info as to how the credit score was arrived to. IE. Credit Card Denied/Approved,, Score 456, Applicant Age 23, Length of credit history 12 years, 3 derogs, 4 lates, 212 collections , 10 credit cards, 4 fuel, 3 store, 2 visa, 5 mastercard etc etc
I would definitely be willing to help... I just about flipped when I couldn't get the website up... I just hit refresh over-and-over in hopes it was just a server "glitch" but after 2 days of that, I had to suspect the worst. It is an absolute MUST resource for this board!
Re: Re: millennium cbs Me too. If someone takes the iniative, I'll be more than happy to throw in a few $$$$'s. I like the PayPal suggestion.
Re: Re: millennium cbs Hey Allen, I can help you with some hosting or bandwidth if you need it as well. I have some boxes on our "test network" at the colo with a 100MB feed.
