Did an AASILVER...(YES, I FELL OFF THE WAGON)... NOT INSTANT...said wait for the letter...SO I DIDN'T DO AAGOLD... $3,500 AASILVER (came in the mail while I was on vacation) CLOSED THE AASILVER AND TRANSFERRED THE $3,500 TO PLATINUM SELECT... DID A 0.00% BT (NO FEE) AFTER LIKE 5-10 MIN. Although he did try to SELL ME ON CREDIT CARD PROTECTION!!! He was nice otherwise...he said it should take less than 10 min...so I walked to the mail box...NOTHING!!! I have to walk 4-5 houses...
I did the same thing a couple of weeks ago. Applied for the diamond preferred because it had a 9 month 0% bt going. Got the card with a $3k cl. Called up and transferred 15k from my plat. sel. card and voila I had 18k at 0% for 9 months. It took a little while, and yes, I did have to listen to the credit protector spiel, but you can't beat 0%, especially when they aren't reporting these days.
