That headache is Equifax!!!!!! I am so tired of dealing with these people. Do they even bother to actually verify???? I have an over 7 yr old auto repo they refuse to delete. I even have proof. They are reporting a Capital one chargeoff that isn't even mine!!! The update make to the TL---CREDIT CARD!!! Then I dispute FNBM and they add another chargeoff so now I have FNBM listed twice, same acct!!! I tried to be nice and not have to ITS them. Tried to deal with Robin Holland and got jacked to Vicky Banks. I couldn't get a hold of her and I hear that she's not very easy to deal with. I am ready to scream. I had no problem with TU or EX. I guess they actually check!! Sorry to rant, but these people can make a sane person crazy. Has anyone here dealt with Vicky? I still have several things I need to dispute, will sending an ITS letter now make them even more difficult to deal with on further disputes??? In the meantime, I'm taking 2 Tylenol and going to bed!
I have... She is the brilliant mind who tried to tell me that "A Federal Trade Commission settlement, is only valid for the states which had their own settlements with the company." After that, I sent the whole dispute c/o the Better Business Bureau, all 80+ pages of it, and after the BBB carefully read over every page of it (it took about 2 weeks from when they received it), I got a letter saying that they forwarded it to EQ, and the next day, I received the results saying that it was deleted. After *TEN* straight months of continous disputes, it was *FINALLY* deleted.
Re: Re: Mommy's Got a Headache!!! And Here is another good example of why you can't trust the industries with reporting and scoring.
Re: Re: Mommy's Got a Headache!!! You know, that is frigging ridiculous. We shouldn't have to go to that kind of extreme to fix inaccuracies on our credit. I dread actually talking to this woman if you had to deal with that kind of bs, jam. Do you think it would be better to just send a CMRRR letter to her with documentation??? From what I'm getting, she is just impossible to talk to. Or is there someone higher than her or Robin?
Re: Re: Mommy's Got a Headache!!! Well, she told me that *HER* boss was the one who decided after v talked with the DF, that it was to remain. If you can't get a good response from v, I would say go through the BBB. I waited, and waited, after I faxed her documentation to contradict what the DF told her over the phone, and when I finally did reach her, she basically said that didn't prove anything... And it was the letter that the Federal Trade Commission forced the DF to write to all consumers affected by the settlement; when they told v that I wasn't affected by the settlement.
Re: Re: Mommy's Got a Headache!!! Okay, jam, I am especially slow today.........what is DF? Do you have an address for the Equifax office where they work? Is it the Atlanta address?
Re: Re: Mommy's Got a Headache!!! OHHHHHHHH.......to add frosting on the cake, I pull my EQ FICO and they deleted another chargeoff that is not mine, $3600. I'm thrilled don't get me wrong that it is off, but my score dropped 36 points. I think my headache is now a migraine.
Re: Re: Re: Mommy's Got a Headache!!! Hands mom a handfull of Excedrin... Heres one that'll perplex you... My pain in the *** trade line is FNBM, they still list (according to PG) that the account is OPEN, and I get about 3 points for it showing as OPEN, compared to when it is showing as being CLOSED. When I had my discussiosn with v, I made sure to mention that it was not being reported as CLOSED, she said, OPEN CHARGE OFF = CLOSED That was another one of her gems of wisdom... And the account is *STILL* not reporting as being in dispute, despite the fact that I've been desputing the account for over 2 years...
