Anyone ever hear of this debt collector? Item appears on my sons CR as a charge off, he has no idea what it is. Any help appreciated. Thanks
Money Control is the collection agency for Pacific Bell. They may also collect for others... Hope this helps
RE: Money Control/JH JH, thank you, thank you, thank you. Now we know what this is. A few years back someone fraudulently used his name and SSN with Pac Bell. CRA's investigated and deleted it. I don't know if he ever followed up on it, but he will now. He has never lived in Calif. We live in PA and has tradelines that reflect that. He had fraud alert on his file. Wow, looks like that charge off is gone. Thanks for the post.
RE: Money Control/JH Money Control is on my report from a $588 phone bill in 1996. Does anyone know if they will remove it if i call and offer to pay it all ??? Or should i just let it run the course of time?
