Ok, I sent validation letters to both collection agencies for my charged off cards. Got the green cards back and ten days later sent disputes to all 3 credit reporting agencies. Forty-five days pass, no validation or any response from MBNA's side. FirstUSA sends me this letter that we discussed in this thread:

They are pretty much deleted after I mail the letter in with my next dispute. The problem lies with MBNA. They ignore everything. They ignored my original dispute on the charges two years ago, they didn't mark it disputed then either. They ignored my validation letter, asssuming that the collection agency sent it. They ignored all the correspondence from me, but still verified the account with the credit reporting agencies. I realize this is a violation, but should I send another letter to MBNA directly asking them to prove it or remove it, followed by another credit reporting agency dispute 10 days later? Or should I send another validation to the cra with the 60 day format? Or should I do something completely different? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

By the way, both companies reported it as verified, however FirstUSA did add a "account info disputed by customer" line. MBNA, as usual, did nothing.

Send another OC verification to Mbna citing FBCA. Once you get the RR back, send copies of your letters with RR to CRAs with Delete\notice to Sue letters. Obviously, they are reporting incorrect info., since the OC has not responded to your request for verification as indicated by FBCA and can not affirm that it is your account. Make sure you keep copies of everything in case you do need to sue for more leverage.

Where can one find out more about the FBCA?
