Hi, My husband and I plan to apply for mortgage. But he just disputed late payments on Equifax last week. If they pull his credit report, Will they see the item is in dispute? Thanks AUX
They will show as in dispute BUT keep in mind the fact that mortgage lenders will usually pull your credit again about a week or so prior to closing. That being said, if the dispute does not go in your favor, the lates will be showing when it comes time to close and your deal may fall apart at the last minute.

I am going to have a mortgage lender pull my credit with all 3 agencies early BEFORE I actually am ready to apply for the mortgage to see what crawls out of the woodwork. This happened to my detriment 2 years ago when I actually wanted to buy a home. Has anyone tried this? Dawn77
