On each credit report, I have at least 6-8 hard inquiries for my mortgage company. We built a home that took 8 months. Each time my mortgage broker ran my credit, the lender would run it the next day. Since it took so long to build, they continually checked for problems. I heard that shopping for a mortgage counts for one inquiry. In fact, on experian, it only counts the 7 they list as one. Does it still affect my points though?

By the way, in Feb. of this year, my mortgage was sold. The company ran it AGAIN, right before they sold it. They do have the right to do this, right?
