Greetings folks...gotta question for the scoring experts...(I'm kinda hip, kinda now, kinda cool, and kinda educated--but, not the expert)....anyhow... I refied the mortgage back in October (@ 6.5 rate for 15 years fixed---you go boy)...but, they're not reporting on any bureau....my scores are in the upper reaches of 700, but a lot of my accounts were opened recently....ala Sep '01 thru Jan '02....do you think if I insist the mortgage company report it will hurt my score or help? Wanna do the right thing ya know... Cheers--("I hate you with the white hot intensity of a thousand suns"--Diane Chambers) David
Sometimes mortgage take 6months to show up. As for insisting, if they don't subscribe to the bureaus, they won't report no matter how much you insist. You should call them up and ask them if they do report.
On my pay book, it says they do report--predicating their statement with "if your late..." So, who knows? David
That doesn't state that they report normal, up to date non-delinquent activity. It states that they will report it if you DON'T pay. The utilities, doctors, dentists, hospitals and many, many others don't report GOOD info, only delinquent.
I am still waiting for my mortgage to report from May 01. I have insisted twice. The mortgage co. does report to all three CRAs. The only one report as of today is Eq. I would give them a call and see if they do report positives, if so insist they report.
David, Give them 4-6 months. I purchased a house in November and the mortgage company does not report until the account is 120 days old and then you're looking at probably looking at another 30 days for it report to all three bureaus. Give them until April and then get nasty. Dani
