I've been reading everything I can get my hands on regarding the pre-approval process and obtaining a home loan in general. I just don't know how to decide which company to apply with. My buyer's agent has sent me about 6 that she recommends. Any advice for choosing? Recommended reading material? We pre-qualified for FHA. Thanks!
Go to Bankrate.com. They will give you a list of mortgage companies in your area along with the rates that they are currently offering. If you are getting the same rate with a broker, take that one that has the less app fees, closing fees, try not to pay origination points.
