I was looking over my credit reports and noticed that my Mortgage does not appear on any of the three. I have had this mortgage for about 8 years, there were some 30 day late payments in the past, but for the last 2-3 years there have not been any late payments. I have been working to improve my credit scores, and was wondering if anyone would their opinion on how much it might help my scores if I ask the Mortgage Company to supply the CRA's the information for my account.
You can sure try. I did the same with Parkview Federal, who only reports my mortgage to TU. They told me that TU has the ability to share the tradeline with the other CRAs, but they only report to TU. I didn't buy this, but contacted TU with the email from the Bank. TU said "Nope, can't do it", so end of story. My first reason that my score isn't higher on Experian CE is that I don't have a mortgage showing.
I bet they would report to all three if you were seriously delinquent. Does it cost money for companies to have there information listed by a CRA?
