Got the "consumer copy" of my credit report from the mortgage company today. Looks like they use an agency like Credco to pull a triple merged report. Interstingly enough, they don't use the old fashioned dedicated terminal...this is a printout from the Internet. There's the usual info...client (mortgage comany) info, fees--they paid $9.54 for this report and I haven't paid anything. next is MY info, name address, SSN but no birth date. Prior addresses listed several times. Current and previous employers. Consumer statement. hmmmm I didnt know I have a consumer statement: "Do not confuse with consumers of similar identification; verify all identifying information." Interesting. Might be because my name could easily be mistaken for others. SCORES Now here's the intersting part. There are many notations like BQ1, BU1, BX3 on my report. I now see why--and this also explains why I only got a partial Experian report over the weekend: I have THREE Equifax files! Those symbols refer to the CRA, only the diference between BQ1 and BQ2 is my SSN has a 4 instead of a 9 but for some reason BQ3 and BQ1 have the exact same name, SSN etc. The problem is that some accounts are shown with the BQ3 symbol but not others...shouldn't they be the same? SCORES part 2 okay so now that I see I have multiple (fractured?) files, this report shows that I have multiple scores!! FICO Score Range 350-820 Repository     Brand           Type     Score ---------------------------------------------- TransUnion    Empirica 95   FICO     541 Equifax          Beacon 96    FICO     559 Equifax          Beacon 96    FICO     647 Experian        Fair Isaac     FICO     651 Equifax          Beacon 96    FICO     790 After seeing that last number, the first thing out of my mouth was a big "HUH????" along with a line of drool...and then I shouted "How the F*** did that happen?" I think somebody at Equifax is on crack!!!! Now mind you my Experian Scorecard/CE score which only shows TWO accounts is 583 (this report shows about 14 Experian accounts). I don't know what to make of any of this. I've requested my reports directly from the CRAs because of te 3, I could only get Experian--and it was incomplete--online. The others said there was a problem validating my identity. So now I'm wondering if I should even bother trying for a good prime card like Fusion or Blue? Maybe I should not tempt the scoring gods and lie low until the mortgage is funded because there are two or three fairly big derogs still left. The mortgage company would like to see them unless they are to be disputed.
