I want to get a creditor to vacate his judgement from 7-2000. The courthouse was in VA. I lived in MA. at the time and was never served. The debt was paid in 2001. I know the district and name of the court. The debt was about $1750.00 how do I go about it?

The creditor can't vacate the judgement. Only the judge can do that. Contact the court that issued the judgement. Find out where to send a "motion to vacate". Research this on the internet. Quite often all you need it there. You file the motion with the court and submit your evidence of payment. Ask for the court to vacate based on non-servicee .

The judge will review the motion and issue the order to vacate. You will cet a copy and then send it to the CRAs. End of judgement.

It took me only 1.5 months from start to finish on that.
