    MP$40,

Noticed in another thread your Citi is now reporting. Did your score go up or down with the change?

I got the two AA's, and combined to plat select, so I'll be in the same boat with one showing as closed by cons request.

I now am using 29% of my avail revolving credit. I'm hoping the huge credit line increase and lowering of usage to about 8% will raise my score, but don't know if two new accounts will negate that raise obtained through better debt to bal ratio?

I already took a 10 point hit on Experian due to the 2 new inquiries. I'm applying for an auto loan very soon, so don't want my score to drop, but will wait until Citi reports on mine if the score goes up.

    thanks,

    danrs

    Bill,

When I spoke to the citi rep when converting, I specifically asked her that question. She said both accounts would show, and the gold, which was combined with the silver then converted to plat select, would show up as a "closed by consumer" account, and the plat select would use the same account number as the silver AA, thus showing one new open account, and one closed.

I personally don't know if the recent activity on my reports by Citi has helped or hurt me. I have not received my actually FICO score since before I got my Target card. I think what I'll do is pull my score next week. I need to allow time for my current Equifax investigations to end which will be on Friday.

One thing I can tell you is that my Privista score went up by 10 points. My worthknowing score stayed at 5.

So i would beleive that would mean that i will have the 2 new accounts listed as closed..I transfered my gold to the silver which closed the gold..Then the silver to a platinum select which the account # was same as silver..,But then combined that platinum with the one i had allready..Which means the new one was closed as well..As far as my wife goes she is in the same boat as you but i think that will help her..Her score is 639 and only 7% credit avaible but i transfered $5300 to my card and her new citi card is 8k which will bring her up to about 80$ avaible.. Thanx for the note back Appreciated!
