I called Mr Cooke ad asked for a lower APR, waive member fees, increase my credit limit and unsecure my credit card. This is what happened: He lowered my APR from 19.80 to 15.99 Waived member fees $59.00 Increased my limit from $500 to $1200 and he surely unsecured my account!! Took the $99 and applied it as a payment. YEAH for Mr Cooke!!! I've had the capital one credit card since February 2003 (7 months) and my credit score is around 602 (Eq). I am not sure if he pulled a hard or not but I do have a paid collection on all my reports.
My guess is he is allowed to do those things to appease us and nothing more. He made all of those same changes to my account. But ask him to display your credit limit on your reports or waive your annual fee permanently and you will see he has his limits.

I tried about 18 months ago. No on the same requests that you made except a $300.00 CL boost at the cost of 3 hard inqs. My APR has been dropping every other month but I must charge something for that to happen. Currently it's at 15.22% NEVERNEVERNEVERNEVERNEVERNEVERNEVERNEVER again! Will charge a tank of gas and called it a month! Would drop them if it was my oldest active account. Best regards, Mirage
