Mr. Cooke is the person at Capital One that responds to planetfeedback letters. He works in the executive office and has been able to help many people (myself included) with issues they have with Capital One.

Worth repeating what George said for those that catch this post some time in the future.

First contact with Mr. Cooke should be via PFB. Once he calls you, he will then give you his phone number for the future. Don't call first - he is a superb contact, he knows about Cnet, and we don't want to burn that bridge.

Are you saying that once you write ONE letter to cap.1 via planetfeedback, that it is OK to call Mr. Cooke directly 6 months later to resolve account problems such as CLI's without writing another PFB letter????

    Please clarify

When I PFB'd him, and he called me back, he gave me his phone number and invited me to call if I ever had another problem :)

I want to chime in on this threat to reiterate what george and others have said...

Please don't cold call mr. cooke without going thru PFB first!

He is too valuable an asset to lose!

It doesn´t matter. You can call him first. I never wrote a Pfb letter to CapOne, I called directly every time.

He helped me a couple of times raising my limit $500 and $800 and lowering my APR from 19.8 to 11% something. But that is!!.

When my limit was 3K(My lowest) I called again to request a 5K limit and to upgrade the card to Platinum. It was my oldest account (3 year mark). no way. he couldnt do anything. Finally I tell him to close the account and that is!!. I am very happy with this account closed. By that moment I had plenty of Plat cards from prime Banks and limits over 10K.

All, don't take Geo to heart. He sounds like he didn't get his way so he wants to see us screw up our connection to Mr. Cooke.

Uncalled for comments there wlonsdale. I tend to believe that Geo was just telling us what happened in his situation. I don't think he has an agenda to screw up your connection. Get real. Some of you newbies get pretty cocky when you have no clue what you are talking about. Geo has been around for over 2 years. You have been here 2 months, yet you know exactly what his motive was? I think an apology is in order.

Thanks LKH!!. CapOne is good when you are starting out with no credit or poor credit. Then when you credit improve and you get Prime cards and higher limits Capital One can not offer anymore.

As for you LKH, what does being new to a board have to do with interpreting human nature? I;ll bet I've been reading as long as you and have been reading email as long. That said, again I apologize to Geo but take offense to the newbie remark as if my opinion has no merit in your little club. You owe me an apology.

You registered and have been participating for 2 months. That is what makes you a "newbie". My point was not interpreting human nature, which is impossible to do on an internet board, but rather your degrading comments about Geo. I don't think I owe you anything. But I will say that this, I left this board before because of all the nonsense that goes on here. I was hopeful things would improve, but they haven't. It's sad.

I also take offense to your claim I have a little club. There is no little club here. You owe me an apology.

    BTW - your welcome Geo.
