I am new here but have help working on my credit. My PFB note was emailed yesterday. It should be interesting to to see how quickly Cap 1 replies. I wouldn't have the nerve to just call the guy up. The note gives him a chance to review the account and call back to discuss.

Don't be surprised it it takes him a couple of weeks to respond. But he will respond.

Actually Cap one seems to be very backlogged with PFB requests. My last request took about 4 1/2 weeks before I heard from Mr. Cooke.

I got a reply back from MR Cooke in the mail from my PFB.com note. He stated basically "I have reviewd your account and am unable to raise the limit" BLAH BLAH BLAH...Since it's a Carnival Mastercard supposedly he has no say in the limit and it will "periodically" reviewed for limit increase.
YEAH RIGHT! I've had that card for 2 yrs now and no lates, no over the limit, etc...perfect and they can't raise the limit?! What a joke!

And the letter was signed by Mr Cooke too!

    Looks like PHONE APPLICATION REQUIRED

If you are not ready to book but would still
like to apply for a Carnival MasterCard and
    earn Fun Rewards call 1-800-728-1305.

I have a PLATINUM card, and I want to get a LIMIT increase, When I first applied, they told me I would get a limit increase in 3-6 months, now they are saying 8-12 moths.

.... Should I contact Mr. Cooke???

I am only responding to this because it is at the top of the list at this time as far as posts and I am not bumping this to the top any further. You people are killing this Mr. Cook thing with all the posts and views. How do expect Mr. Cook to take his time to respond to everyone that needs Capital One help with more and more people seeing this over time? You people are going to kill this great connection to Capital One with all of the new responses EVERY DAY. Or you can keep this going on and receive the same results from anybody else. QUIET!!!

Go to www.carnival.com and click on the finance area.

Yep, when I applied it was a 1500 CL but if I booked a cruise by Jan 2002 I would be given a 5500 CL so I booked a cruise and sailed this Feb. I have yet another cruise booked.

The thing I do like is the Carnival side (CL) is 5k and the general purchases side is 500.00. I just wanted the general purchase side upped as 500 is just not enough for me! But I got rejected again. I've called the CS number numerous times requesting review of my account and they deny me a CL increase. It sucks. But then again I have 5k to book a Carnival cruise and this will be our 3rd one next year!

    Your sentiment is understandable Vick.

But this has been going on for many months, if not years. Cooke already knows who we are, and that we praise him for his willingness to be helpful.

    Don't worry.

Still six months on mine (at least the automated thing). Maybe it has to do with the age of the card.

Yep, I guess Carnival needed more cruisers and put out that offer. Heck, I got a cruise and a credit limit increase too LOL

Credit is sold in many different ways. If you use a card, you tend to get a higher credit limit later. If you make a balance transfer, you may get a higher credit limit immediately. It's the same principle.

BTW, anyone who pays an annual fee is in a sense buying credit.
