Multiple accounts - same loans

    Hi:

I have two similar situations I would like to hear opinions on.

    1. I have had the same mortgage sold 4 times in 8 years. On my credit reports it shows four different accounts/lenders, each with relatively short histories. One is noted as sold, the rest are not.

    2. I have had a credit card with the same bank for a number of years and moved up through the rank of Blue, Gold, and now, Platinum. Each time it has changed, I get a new account number/history.

So, between these two loans, I show 7 different account numbers/histories. Do the CRAs have any mechanism to account for this? If not, is there anything I can or should do?
