How can a credit card show multiple charge off dates on an old card? It went delinquent in 6-1996 and they report additional dates every few months since then. Looks like 29 total in all. Can they do this?? Anybody?
Yeah, good guess, What is up with that? How can I fix it so it doesn't look so bad or that it was just charged off?
LOL! I posted this same exact problem. And guess which CRA it was - yep Experian!! 3 different charge-off dates.
How can they show it updated every 3 months or so though?? It's charged off!! They don't even show it being sold or assigned??
I'm not sure but it looked to me as if Experian was inserting charge-off dates every time the creditor updated the information. My charge-off dates match their "Status Date" and "Last Reported" date. But I could be wrong.
