My daughter was in 3 hospitals earlier in the year, and we have alot of bills to pay now. Insurance covered alot - but we still have expenses that we have to pay. I started off by sending $5 to each of them - is this enough to pay each month to prevent the accounts from going to collection? I didn't contact any of them to let them know I was going to do this, I just sent the checks out. I sent some out last month and the checks were cashed, but I haven't received any updated statements from them.

If it is a "NOT FOR PROFIT" hospital...they MIGHT take $5.00 payments vs. NO payments. DOCTORS won't do that...USUALLY Our BABY DOCTOR that had his office NEXT DOOR to us...let us make any payments we wanted...FOR OBVIOUS REASONS...I paid the bill IN FULL when presented.
