If OC fails to notify the CRAs of a dispute. Must a CRA erase a negative tradeline if only the amount is disputed and not the whole account? I am about to dispute the validity of charges on one account. Should the OC notify the CRAs of my disputes? Should I notify the CRAs of my dispute as well? And if the OC fails to report the account as disputed, do I have a case in getting the CRAs to delete?

Remember one thing the CRA's must maintain 100% accuracy of the things that they have on ur credit report and wrong dollar amount makes the TL on your report not 100% accurate.

To answer another part of your question if the OC does not report to the CRA's that your account has been disputed by you then they are in violation of FCRA Section 623 and you can sue for statutory damages of 1,000 dollars per occurrence. Most of the time the OC will gladly remove the TL from your credit if you let them know that you will go as far as taking them to small claims court.

Are these new charges? If so you might want to look at the FCBA.

No these are not new charges. Rather it was a monthly charge over 11 months that was for unemployed credit protection for which i am willing to take either MBNA or Credit Protection to court as I never accepted or authorized for the protection, either through writing or via phone as they claim.
