I have asked repeatedly for help and information on this board. Sometimes I get it..sometimes I get NOTHING. I'm not trying to be rude or make anyone mad, but here's my problem. I am willing to pay "whatever" it takes to clean-up my credit, even paying WestCap $300 per item. Anytime someone comes along with help like this we are told by other long-term members, there is plenty of free help available...just ask. When I ask I rarely get the answer I'm asking for, not always but rarely. If the board is here for help, why do I have to beg and plead for it? I'm not the only one, I see so many newbie questions go unanswered and would love to help them but I have no knowledge or success stories to help them. I am stuck in credithell for 5-7 yrs and really need help or I wouldn't read this board 10-20 times a day and several other boards I read as well. I just don't get it. I'm confused and need help, and YES I do use the search function too.
Sorry bout your frustration What's your question? I searched for posts from you and other than the one addressed to WestCap about backdoor stuff, I couldn't find any unadressed questions from you to answer (I admit I only checked the last 20 or so threads you posted)...Is it that you are seeking a "credit repair" person/organization to help you for payment, and you want recommendations? Let them fly again (repost your questions) and we will see if we can get it right this time -Peace, Dave
Yeah, I read back over the posts also. Sorry, I had no idea you felt you weren't getting enough information. I am not an expert in the business and tax stuff, so I didn't answer, and it did seem you were addressing WestCap - he doesn't post as often as some, and may have just not posted even if he was reading, since there has been a lot of controversy over it. What issues do you have that need to be addressed? could you restate them? Sorry we weren't responsive. You did right - whomp us upside the head, LOL. Get our attention.
Christi, Everyone here has been a newbie at some point, but the most lessons learned here was by searching old posts(the posts go so far back on subjects NOT seen on any other board). I have been here for a little over a year, but I only have minimal posts because I have read things as far back as possible. No one intends to overlook anybody, but this is such a fast moving board that sometimes things get overlooked. I personally welcome you here, & hope that the wealth of knowledge you seek is obtainable. Best Wishes, Sister Girl
Hey Christi, Don't get frustrated, I think you're in the right place to get help and support/advice, etc. Sometimes threads can get stepped on around here, but it's getting better recently. I primarily lurk. If only I had really understood and applied some stuff I've learned here, I'd be in better shape. Still, I'm not giving up, and neither should you. You're making a smart move imploring to LizardKing to take interest in your case. He's kind of like the Sherlock Holmes, or Robin Hood of Creditnet, in my mind....Kudos to LizardKing. Later, Torpedo
Christi, I'll tell you something... I really like your bravery and your polite but strong assertive style. (When using the word "bravery," I'm reflecting upon how many others in your exact situation would simply fade away because they fear confrontation, etc.) Keep asking the questions, and I'll bet you'll get some answers. Before long, you'll be the one answering questions here, I guarantee it. I'm glad you began this thread -- it's worth far more than two cents. Doc
Yes, being brave includes being direct : ) Now, I understand, it can be frustrating not to get a direct answer to your questions. Are you a member of the 500 club too? Hows everything going for you?
christi, I have no expertise in the area where you are asking questions about. sorry that I'm of no help.
Christi, I am sorry that you feel this way. I have been frustrated too when my questions go unanswered, particularly when you can see that people are reading them! Sometimes if you post at busy times, your question can end up on the next page before you know it. Also, if I have a question based on what I read on another thread, responding to that thread, rather than creating a new post, may not yield an answer either. Best bet is to just go to the original post and "bump" it-post again on that thread to get it back to the top.
I know how you feel Christi. I am also a "newbie" but I have been reading this board for about 6 weeks. I did not post until 1 month after I had been reading. I usually only get 1 or 2 responses to my questions. But, I have received some good responses and are following some of the recommendations. What you need to do is develop a plan of attack. Are you going to dispute with the CRAs? Are you going to send Validation letters to the CAs? Or are you going to do both simultaneously? Or are you going to use a credit repair place or person? From what I've seen, most of the people frown upon using credit repair people or organizations. Quite frankly, I am just too cheap. Why pay someone for something you can do yourself with some time and effort? It is going to take alot of time, research, reading and analyzing. I think it will take me about 6 months to get the results I desire.
I don't think this is the case. What most people say is that you can do it yourself. Many people here have used other services, posted their experiences, helped each other manage it, etc. I wouldn't say the board majority takes one position or the other. Most would say you should do what suits your situation.
Christi, I feel your pain. Many of us who are members of the 500 club are so desperate for help. We post questions and we don't get answers that we are looking for. One of the reasons we are trying to do 500 club chats is so we can ask specific questions or details that we are not getting answered on the board. Please do not get fustrated but continue to post and ask questions. It really helps me out when you do
Christi; I tried to answer your questions. I am not an expert, only speaking from my experience. I have started multiple businesses and all but one has been able to obtain credit. From your e-mails, it sounded as you were against establishing a business. www,creditsense.com
Thanks to everyone for being so nice. I didn't want to be harsh or rude, I guess I'm frustrated because I feel like I'm in a lose-lose situation. I know the backdoor business approach is a NO for me. Too much legal, red tape, mumbo jumbo for me to handle. I am just at a point where I don't know what to do. I have sent 11 validation letters this week and plan to dispute as well Monday (online). I've had Equifax deny me, because I'm "frivolous" in the past and everything on TU and EX comes back verified. I have medical collections and charge offs. I do have positive accounts like a paid off vehicle, paid off credit cards, current open active and good pay installment loan. I have FCNB and am paying on time with them. I just wished someone would let me hire them. I don't have the knowledge to know what to do next etc etc. AND...I feel alot of what I want to ask is dumb. Maybe I need it spelled out for me, who knows? I'm a college educated person, but have NO knowledge of this credit repair.
Christi; I am sorry I am not able to help with credit repair. I have built my credit with a lot of patience and discipline. I don't believe there are any easy solutions to credit building or repair. It is something that must be worked at. Exercising my credit has given me the ability to deal from strength with my many creditors. Do post your credit repair questions, there are many good posters on this board that have been in a similar situation as yours. www.creditsense.com
Christi, You have posted 185+ times on creditnet and you Still can't get help and answers. Your "pleading for help " is truly heartbreaking,I'm very serious. A lot of the venerated "gurus" here should really ask pbm to set up a "free" Q & A thread as in "Ask Rob", then you would get help, and your questions answered. Count all these "sympathy posts".Do you have any help yet.Sorry, sweetheart, they had a Witch Hunt Here. KNDT,ox ps; Who wants to be the Who - in the "Ask Who" Thread. ?
I nominate you,kehoy2k....since nobody else have the answers but you(never noticed that you "asked" her concerns). There was no "witchhunt ",such as proclaimed(perhaps you could not comprehend the actuality). Sister Girl
Re: My .02 worth- From WestCap Christi, We will help you. Please send me a private e-mail ( I believe we have already spoken via e-mail earlier this week). I will give you my fax number and you can fax me all three of your current reports. I will "hand walk" you through the processes that you need to take. If we need to litigate or file suit against any of the creditors or credit bureaus, I will help you with that also. In the interim, PLEASE do not send any more letters or make any more calls. I will need copies of all of your prior communications with your creditors and the bureaus. I also need you to prepare a written history of exactly what you have done in the past to resolve these matters yourself and kind of describe to us where you started from. The only thing that I ask for in return from you.....is a Christmas Card! Together, we can solve your issue! WestCap
DON'T START!!! Please, if y'all want to fight, don't use someone else's thread to do it. Start your own, so we don't have to read it if we don't want to.
