I had a BK 7 discharged on Oct. 15, 2003, and pulled all 3 credit reports Nov. 1st. I initiated disputes with TransUnion and Equifax. I have yet to hear anything from TU yet, but on Equifax, I received an updated copy of my CR. I had disputed 4 accounts, 2 with FUSA, and 2 with a local credit union as "not mine." The FUSA accounts are being incorrectly reported as "charged off," when they were listed as creditors in my BK. The credit union is reporting my 2 accounts as "included in BK," when they are current, good standing accounts which I reaffirmed on. Well, the credit union accounts were deleted from my CR, and the FUSA accounts came back verified. I understand that there is a lawsuit against FUSA for not reporting accounts included in bK correctly. If anyone can provide anymore info, it would be appreciated. Any tips on my next dispute? Do I now ask them to report it as "IIB?" I feel pretty good that 2 of 4 accounts were deleted on my first try. If I can keep batting .500, my CR will be clean in no time. As for the 2 CU accounts, those are being trasnferred to another CU and will soon be reporting as positive tradelines.
