Just sent a letter to a company who is really starting the ball rolling off to a good start. Harassment & Abuse; Unfair Practices; and a plethora of False & Misleading Representations (unless I actually do get a big bundle of legal process served on me by a process server who won't even say her name - because she works for herself as an "independent process courier", but "if you call this number, and give them this number" they'll be able to tell you what its about.) Anyhow, here is my best paragraph ever written, in the middle of my best 3 page letter ever... "In addition to the four calls to those three agents of your company, a number of additional calls were responded by the mature adult reactions of disconnecting the line, breathing into the phone for several minutes, and other conduct which was designed to serve no other purpose than to harass, oppress, and abuse myself."
Do companies really do that? Breath in the phone for several minutes. How is that going to help anything. Heather with BoostMyScore.NET
Yep, they actually did that... Oh, it was my sixth or seventh call in a row... They didn't like my answer that they did not need to have a name or any other information to give me their company's contact information... (Gee, if they only knew that I could easily pull it up in 2 seconds flat from their industry association page... But it's so much more fun getting it from them kicking and screaming...) Oh, and Friday happened without the "legal process courier" dropping off the big pile of a lawsuit that this company has for me... Along with no mini-Miranda, and no validation notice, yet... Heather, notice that this was just one paragraph of a 3 page letter, which cited pretty much violations of every major part of the FDCPA, verbatim. Considering this upstanding agency was featured on Dateline NBC for one of their upstanding representatives pretending to be a law-enforcement officer.
