Hi all- I'm under a new name so I look new I started this journey on 9/1 by disputing 3 items with Transunion: bankruptcy, providian and Van Ru. 10/1 is coming up and I haven't heard anything. I pulled my report today and all the disputed items are still there (and none are listed as disputed- are they suppose to do that?). So I am preparing a 30 day follow up letter modeling the letter posted here. It looks like I got one acct removed that I disputed on 9/21. I truley don't think the account is mine at least I didn't recognize it. This raised my score 15 pts! My scores are all pitifully low but I'm working on them. The 30 day cutoff is coming up for disputes to equifax and experian as well. So far only 1 thing has been verified (those pesky providians) everything else is still pending. I've gained tons of info here. Thanks to all who contribute. oopsydaisy
First things first. What was your old user name? TU doesn't list the items you dispute as being disputed. It's a violation but the continue to do this. They have 5 days from the 30th day to notify you of the results. If you want to know, call them tomorrow and ask. Providian is a big pain in the ass. I had to dispute it 8 times and write tons of letters to them and the ca denying the acct was mine. Finally got it removed. You'll need lots of patience with them.
