Ok..I'm starting on my own cr and I am starting with these 2 accounts listed with Sherman Acq.
Both of these accounts were purchased from the OC AFTER we filed Chapter 13 BK on August of 1999. Both of these accounts were paid with the Chapter 13. They're listed with balances owing, but there has been NO attempts at collecting the balance.

My question is this..do I dispute with the CRA's first? Or do I send a validation letter to Sherman? Or both?? Isn't it a major violation to list these accounts this way in the first place? Or am I wrong in that?

    Thanks.

what is the last reporting date? i would suggest disputing the CRA's first, as that may just updte the information without much work.
