Hello everyone! I'm 21, have a small business and would like a bit of advice. To give you a background: I checked my credit score on Eloan and as of Sept 30, my score is 714. I only have revolving accounts on my credit report. ==== Personal Accounts ==== National City Platinum Visa unsecured opened April 2002 current limit: $3,500 (increase on Sept 2003) started with $500 limit, then $1,000, then $2,000, then $1,500. balance: $1,200 Capital One Secured Visa secured Opened June 2002 current limit: $1,100 (increase on April 2003) started with $300 secured then increased to $1.1K unsecured. balance: $0 National City CashBuilder Visa unsecured Opened December 2002 current limit: $1,000 balance: $0 Dell Financial Services (Preferred Account) for laptop unsecured Opened February 2003 current limit: $1,500 balance: $0 (paid in full on August '03) and most recently: Capital One Platinum Mastercard unsecured Opened August 2003 current limit: $300 balance: $29 * they sent me this pre-approved offer since I have a 'good' relationship with them but I was insulted cause they only gave me a $300 credit line. === Business === American Express Blue for Business unsecured Opened September 2003 current limit: $3,000 * they approved me around August 29. I'm thinking of closing down the capital one accounts cause they're really really conservative in their credit limits. Thots? I wanna apply for a prime card with the big guys (or another Amex, but personal)... but when is the best time to do that? Also I'm interested in buying a car.. is it true that people have to have a credit history of 2 years or more? I pay my National City Platinum Visa in full each month. And then my American Express blue won't be reported to my personal file (( Thanks everyone! B.Y.
Let the cards age at least two years before closing them. Why is National City pulling so many hards?
