Hello everyone. I want to say thanks to everyone who has answered questions for me and given me suggestions. Before I found this board, I thought I was stuck with my crappy credit for seven years. Here are my results so far... I started disputing in December... mailed my first set of disputes around December 10. I also have been disputing with Experian online - so that is where I have most of my deletions. Experian: Seventh Ave. $315.00 Charge off - Deleted Finance Company $1697.00 Charge off - Deleted Providian Visa $650.00 Charge off - Deleted United Creditors Alliance $67.00 bill (?) - Deleted 2 inquiries - Deleted 2 other investigations pending. Transunion: UCA collection account $67.00 bill (?) - Deleted 2 other investigations pending. Equifax: Still waiting on my results for 3 disputes. Thanks again to everyone who has helped me along the way. I could not have done any of this had it not been for the WONDERFUL people and advice on this board.
Well... my scores really stink in the first place - but my Experian score went up 36 points. Now I am at - don't laugh - 556. I was at 520. I don't know about the other two yet. But I will post it when I get those.
Oh, and another thing... my forebearance went through on my student loan so it went from being 120 days late to current/never late. That probably helped a lot too.
Awesome! It sounds like you and I are in the same boat! I got stupid, I mean STUDENT loans too that I finally got to report the way they should be. I'm gonna get a house in 2003!
Yeah, when I was in college, credit was just way too easy for me to get! Boy, do I wish I had listened to my mom and dad! But live and learn, I guess. Good luck to you. My scores are so terrible, I don't even want to post them. They are all in the low 500's... well, now my Experian is in the mid 500's, now. But I can remember when they were in the 400's. YIKES!!!!!
Congrats on the success - we need stories like this to keep us motivated. Just started last week so hopefully I'll have the same results as you GT
