Just got my TU report and it has a score of 718! I thought my high balances would preclude that...

Does this mean I'll probably get the Chase Manhattan Plat. I applied for, or will they take a closer look at factors (balances high, many accts with balances, etc.)

I am drooling for that 0% BT rate.

Ingenue, unfortunately other factors are taken into consideration. Many credit card companies focus on credit card usage, balances, and income to determine if a consumer qualifies for their card. If your total credit card balances average 25% or less and you have no lates or collections on your reports it would not hurt to apply for the Chase Platinum. If you have a 718 you're doing something right. Good luck. :)

Well, I found out I got the Chase card today, but they gave me the stupid Classic with "Alternate Pricing" and only a $1000 credit limit, and no BT's or BT intro rate. Suckage. Anyway, I figure in a couple of months I'll call them and tell them the reason I'm not using it is because it's got the crappiest interest rates of all my cards.

Until I get a better rate and maybe some BT's, this one's just going to sit and age like cheese. Chase Cheddar card.
