    It's not the whole $12.5k, but it's a start.

Citi approved me for the Illumina card $3.300.

This is significant because, with a '95 BK, I didn't have to send any of the additional documentation (explanation, 1st mtg. of the creditors, etc) that I normally have had to. They just approved it... not online immediately, but 1 day later.

The only other bank card that did that was NextCard.

MBNA pulled the same report on the same date and declined (too much available credit-- HA! They didn't hear about NextCard yet - and balances too high).

I'm already a HUGE Citi fan with Diners Club, so it's nice to build on a relationship.

I know BDD doesn't seem to be working anymore - but I did return a pre-approved Citi application anyway just for kicks ... maybe they'll approve it as well (fingers crossed) and I can combine them.

Thanks all for the wealth of Citi info you all have posted-

Congrats, mj! So, are you off of Citi's blacklist now? :)

Thanks! Glad to join the Citi MC club!

I never was on their blacklist - I was not able to get a card (other than Diners) becasue of the Ch7 being less than 7 years old ... which changed last month.

My partner, however, was/is on their s***list due to settling an account with them ... they were very unclear about how to get off of it- paying the difference wasn't possible. My impression was that "time heals all wounds" but they wouldn't give me a firm "5, 7 or 10" years.

Send them a PFB letter and explain to them what you are trying to do. I've had success w/ PFB and MBNA. Someone will contact you in less than a week. Explain your situation, and see what they say. Be warned that when a rep does contact you, they will pull another report! They initially pulled Experian when I applied but when I did a PFB and a rep contacted me, he pulled TU.

    Hey...it's worth a try???
